Jordan Kingston

Brayden's Story

Rogue

_____ 1st Chapter _____

Preface

What this world needs is some good old-fashioned “G” rated imagination. So, with this in mind, I started writing another Jordan Kingston sequel.

Jordan Kingston, the main character, and his best friend and cousin, Brayden, have explored the possibilities that aliens visited earth thousands of years ago, and maybe, even now, are busy here on earth. Jordan is a believer in "Alientology," a word coined to describe the study and belief in aliens and how they have impacted human civilization.

In the recent past, Brayden has learned that Jordan is, himself, an alien and that he and Jordan’s grandfather know, too, that extraterrestrials did visit Earth in ancient times giving knowledge and guidance to ancient civilizations to advance their cultures. As the cousin of Jordan, Brayden has been accepted by the aliens as they have known him all of his life, too. Brayden now is a true believer in Alientology. He and Brayden share this information and are joined together in a new adventure, keeping the secret. As they have grown up quickly and this knowledge is changing their lives as no one would believe.

Jordan was always asking, “Why were they here? Where did they go? And what are they doing now?”

Now he and Brayden have answers to those questions. The true purpose of the aliens has always been to bring peace and

serenity to Earth.  They are determined to keep the secret of the aliens in order to allow them to achieve this goal.

Their own experiences have proven to them that earthlings are not ready to accept the wisdom of the aliens. Having gone through many trials, they have come to an awareness of the importance to know technical methods to help them keep the secret about what the aliens are doing now.

This story takes you into Brayden’s deeper relationship with the aliens and the technical training and advanced knowledge they bestow upon him, and how he finds true friends are not always earthlings.

He and Jordan learn together, that evil is sometimes revealed in many different ways, and all friends are not what they seem to be.

Follow Jordan and Brayden as they grow up to be young men and learn more about the unusual beliefs from the aliens they have come to look to for friendship and guidance as they explore the universe.

FROM BOYS TO MEN

The story continues

Jordan has been working with Tarke on the main UFO on the bottom of Lake Michigan and has been promoted to second in command of the main ship. Tarke and the Elders find Jordan's maturity and ability to be far beyond his years to grasp and solve any task given to him.

The Elders are also very impressed with Brayden.  For one so young, his intellect and quick wit make him a perfect candidate for a special position in the future. He still is as fun loving as ever and always ready for a prank.

In preparation for his adult years, Brayden has gone through many Alien Learning Sessions as well as attending High School and taking driver’s training with Jordan. Although Jordan is now second in command and also has his own private UFO the Explorer. Taking drivers training will help him blend in with Earth's people. It has definitely been a busy year for Brayden. He has two more years to go before he graduates, then, most likely, he will go to college.

From somewhere in another galaxy, far from Earth. . .

Brayden has awakened early and is alone in his room in the spaceship.  And he thinks as he day-dreams, mind full of questions. . .  High School seems only yesterday . . . It all has passed by so quickly . . . My, how the time flies.  Where did it all begin?

Just yesterday I was still in High School. . .

* * *

The weekend has arrived, and Brayden thought messages Jordan. Jordan, I have a question for you and Harec. Can you pick me up sometime today?

Jordan comes back with a reply, Sure Brayden. When will you be ready?

Brayden messages, give me an hour, I'll be in your backyard.

Jordan quickly messages back. It is nine now; how about I pick you up at eleven? That will give you time to get over to my house.

Brayden replies, Okay, eleven it is.

Brayden can't wait so off to Jordan's house he goes.  Upon arriving, he is welcomed in by Jordan's mother, Gloria.

"Well, my goodness, Brayden! What a pleasant surprise.  What brings you here today?" she asks.

"Jordan is going to pick me up here at eleven."

Jordan's father, John, is sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee and the newspaper. He peers over the paper, "You must be anxious, you’re an hour and a half early," he says with a smile.

Brayden takes a seat. "Yes, I haven't seen Jordan in a while.  Haven’t seen you two either, so I came early.”

Aunt Gloria sighs a little, "The both of you have sure been busy. How is school going?"

"School is good, that's part of the reason why I want to see Jordan," Brayden answers.

Uncle John says, "Don't take this like I'm nosy, but how can Jordan help? You are doing well."

Brayden smiles, "I'm doing well in school for sure. As you know, though, I have had several Technical Learning Sessions on the ship."

‘Gloria smiles and says kindly, "So that must help you a lot in school, doesn’t it?"

"Not really, there’s no place I can make use of what I have learned. That's part of the problem, that's why I need to see Jordan." Brayden answers, as he turns to Jordan's father and says, "I have signed up for tech classes for the last half of the year."

"At the Technical Center by Holland?" Uncle John asks.

Brayden smiles, "Yes, I should be able to have some fun there. But to help me out, I would like to have another Learning Session on everything about math. I feel I should step it up in that area."

"I bet they could do something like that. There are some pretty smart people on that ship," John answers.

"That’s true. That's why I want to see Jordan. I'm sure Harec can set up something for me."

Gloria says proudly, “My Jordan is now second in command of the UFO, he'll get it set up for you."

Brayden puffs up his chest a little, "and I'm ‘Brayden Einstein’,” He grins happily.

All three of them chuckle, amazed at how fast their lives are changing.

Brayden explains to Jordan's parents. "Unlike Jordan, I do have to go to college. I figure that is where I can make a name for myself."

John sips his coffee. "You are thinking things out, that's very good.  Maybe if you show some of your technical skills in the Tech Center that will give you a head start."

"Yep, I have been trying to hold back. But there I can play a little."

Brayden looks at his transceiver watch, "I better go out back.  Jordan is going to pick me up soon.”

Aunt Gloria pats his shoulder, “Have a good day and tell Jordan we miss him so much."

Just then, the door opens, and Jordan walks in, "Hi, I thought I would stop by for a few minutes,” he grins.

Gloria jumps up and gives Jordan a big hug. "I just this minute told Brayden how much we miss you . . . and here you are!”

Jordan hugs her back and walks around and slaps his Dad’s back affectionately, "Hi, Dad."

John smiles, "Glad you’re here, son.  Sit down for a minute and tell us what you have been doing."

Jordan sits as his mother gets him a cup of coffee and looks at Brayden, "Oh, Brayden dear, I’m sorry, I didn't offer you coffee."

"We were too busy talking, but I'll take a glass of milk instead, please," Brayden replies, as he gets the milk from the refrigerator just like old times.

She smiles, "I forgot, you aren't a big coffee drinker." She fills a glass of milk for Brayden.

Brayden sits as Jordan’s father says, "So, what's new, son?"

Jordan replies, "Well, for one thing, we moved the ship last week."

"How far out are you now?" Brayden asks.

"We moved it out another twenty miles because of the winter ice," Jordan replies.

"The lake is a few hundred feet deep. The ice wouldn't have bothered you where you were, why the move?”

"You are right, Dad.  There are two reasons; the lake’s ice gets out to where we were faster, for one. That would make it a bit harder to go to and from the ship. The other reason? It's good to move from place to place, and not stay in one spot."           Jordan looks over at Brayden, "So, you are thinking about getting another Learning Session?"

Brayden smiles, "Oh, oh, you have been spying on my thoughts again."

"Yes, I have, it's a nice way to keep up with you, “Jordan replies with a grin. "By the way, because of our old friend Rick, I will not be landing the Explorer around here. We will be doing transporting from now on."

"I can understand that. Rick is a big pain, but hopefully, we fixed him good last summer." Brayden smiles.

John stands and says, “Sounds like you two will have a good day.  I have a few things to get done, too, so I’ll be off.”

"We will. It was great to see you, Dad.  Have a good day yourself," Jordan replies.

Jordan's father takes his coat and waves as he walks out.

"Your father has a couple things that he has to take care of at work this morning, and I have to do these dishes," says his mother.

“Thanks, Mom.  We promise to get back to see you more often,” and both give her a quick squeeze.

Jordan looks over at Brayden, "Let's go so you can see Harec about that Learning Session."

Brayden smiles, and finishes his milk. "Sounds good to me. I'm ready to do a little transportation." He stands, “Beam me up, Jordy."

Jordan laughs. “That was good . . . I'll beam you up in a minute." Jordan walks over to his mother and gives her another hug, he whispers to her, "I'll beam Brayden back this afternoon."

Jordan stands next to Brayden, looks at him and bursts into laughter as Brayden grins . . . his upper lip is wearing a milk mustache . . . their laughter lingers as they fade out of view.

As Jordan's mother watches, she shakes her head as they disappear from sight thinking; Will I ever get used to all this alien business?
